Finance Officer, Compliance

Job description:
The key focus of this role is to support the health and wellness services in administration duties and specifically finances and budget. Perform accounting and clerical support functions. Record business transactions, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legal regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
- Be responsible for the Accounts réconciliation of all relevant expenditure for the Heath and Wellness department.
- Reconcile, verify and track supplier invoices ensuring timely approval and settlement of outstanding payments.
- Manage accounts payable processes in line with the Health department process, including invoicing and payments.
- Track payment for outstanding purchase orders.
- Tracking of payments for Health and Wellness departments contracted consultants.
- Liaison between the Health and Wellness department and the service level suppliers for all financial related queries.
- Ensuring necessary approvals are obtained before payments are processed.
- Liaison with relevant heads of departments to ensure finances are inputted correctly into budget line items.
- Liaison with the relevant heads of departments to offer support and planning with the CAPEX budget.
- Running of Cognos and other financial reports ensuring that costs are allocated to the correct budget lines.
- Reconciliations of site petty cash in line with company policies
- Assist with internal and external audits including responses to audit queries.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Certificate / or Equivalent in Accounting
- ACCA/CIMA level II
- Must be a member of ZICA
Experience
- 3 years’ experience in an accounting setting.
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular.

- PC Literacy
- An understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures
