🎯 Job Overview

The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate depot operations, logistics, and trade activities while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and business growth across assigned territories.

📋 Key Responsibilities

🏢 Operations Coordination

✅ Supervise and coordinate all brewery operations within the territory

✅ Ensure smooth collaboration between depot teams, sales, and central operations

💰 Budgeting & Cost Control

✅ Prepare and manage annual operating budgets

✅ Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with financial guidelines

👥 Team Management & Development

✅ Lead, train, and motivate operational staff

✅ Conduct performance evaluations based on KPIs

✅ Provide ongoing training and development

📊 Performance Monitoring & Reporting

✅ Consolidate depot performance indicators (DPIs)

✅ Prepare weekly and monthly management reports 📈

🚚 Depot & Delivery Compliance

✅ Ensure timely delivery departures and adherence to schedules

✅ Guarantee accurate and timely customer order fulfillment

🛒 Sales & Trade Support

✅ Support sales growth through efficient delivery systems

✅ Collaborate with Sales Managers to improve trade performance

💳 Credit & Debtors Management

✅ Monitor and control trade debtors

✅ Ensure compliance with credit terms and limits

🔄 Planning & Asset Management

✅ Review and adapt operational plans as needed

✅ Ensure proper use and maintenance of company assets (vehicles, equipment, depots)

⚠️ Compliance & Safety

✅ Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies

🎓 Minimum Requirements

📚 Education & Qualifications

✔️ Degree in Business Studies (Marketing bias preferred)

✔️ Professional qualification in Marketing, Transport, or Logistics

✔️ Membership with Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport

💼 Experience

✔️ Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in sales (FMCG preferred)

✔️ Strong understanding of operations and logistics

💻 Skills

✔️ Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

✔️ Strong leadership and analytical skills

✔️ Excellent communication and reporting abilities
