Description
1 Purpose of the Job
To provide maintenance services to the Authority infrastructure and premises as needed and/or assigned and ensure that tools and materials are maintained in good working order and are available when needed.
2. Statements of Main Responsibilities
- Plans and performs regular, scheduled inspections and maintenance on the Authority facilities and machinery.
- Performs a wide variety of general and skilled maintenance activities such as electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
- Maintains the grounds, building infrastructure, and lighting system.
- Prepares and maintains inventory of machinery, garden equipment, and tools.
- Inspects and performs repair work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Carries out periodic furniture maintenance works as may be needed.
- Responds to emergencies during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Performs any other duties assigned as and when necessary.
- Prepares and submits monthly maintenance reports.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
General Education:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
- The job requires 2 to 3 years similar work experience.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Science, Civil Engineering or related technical field.
