Description

1. Purpose of the Job 

To lead the development and execution of media strategies and engagement initiatives that amplify the company's message, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and enhance public perception. This role requires a proactive and experienced professional with a strong background in media relations and stakeholder engagement.

2. Statements of Main Accountabilities 

1. Develop and implement media strategies to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.

2. Build and maintain strong relationships with local, national, and international media outlets.

3.  Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries and manage media interactions.

4.  Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.

5.  Organize and oversee press conferences, media briefings, and interviews.

6.  Develop and execute strategies to engage key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners,     and the community.

7.  Coordinate stakeholder meetings, forums, and events to foster strong relationships and gather feedback.

8.  Address stakeholder inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

9.  Co-ordinate all delegated protocol management activities within and outside the Authority.

10.  Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality content for various communication channels, including        newsletters, reports, social media, and the corporate website.

11.  Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication materials.

12.    Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce compelling and impactful content.

13.   Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage potential risks and protect the company's          reputation.

Requirements

a) General Education

    Grade 12

b) Professional/Academic Qualifications:


    Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or the equivalent.

c) Relevant Pre-Job Experience: 

1. The job requires above 3 and 5 years of experience.

2. Proven track record of developing and executing successful media and engagement strategies.

3. Strong understanding of media landscape and stakeholder engagement best practices
