At BDO Zambia, we have a rapidly growing tax practice looking for enthusiastic professionals to join our team.

TAX SUPERVISOR -VAT

Responsibilities:

• Leading the VAT team to achieve results and goals
• Review all VAT work to ensure quality assurance and control
• Demonstrate high competency in VAT compliance process
• Training teams in VAT management and compliance
• Ensure adherence to internal quality standards on VAT compliance processes
• Competent client management and correspondence regarding VAT compliance
• Be able to competently analyse VAT data and advising clients accordingly
• Ensure to adhere to internal and external deadlines without fail
• Be the key link with the Tax Authority to ensure VAT projects are completed efficiently.
• Constant communication with ZRA for current status of VAT refunds audits and approvals
• Develop junior staff in the team through on the job training
• Monthly reports on the activities

Qualification

• Full/part ACCA/ZICA or degree in accounting
• Over Four years of relevant experience in VAT
• Excellent writing skills as well as strong analytical abilities
• Demonstrated ability to set goals and develop priorities to ensure that work is completed with a high degree of accuracy within the context of completing deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player
