VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: SENIOR WAREHOUSE OFFICER
Lumwana Mining Company is seeking to recruit a highly committed individual for the position of Senior Warehouse Officer to join the versatile Supply Chain team. We are in search of an individual who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Reporting to the Coordinator - Warehouse, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient, safe, and compliant management of all warehouse operations within the mining site.
Your Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Manage the issuing of all items that are issued from the Central Warehouse and Process Yard
- Assist in managing the warehouse team to comply with safety regulations, company policies, procedures and ethical guidelines.
- Provide accurate advice to LMC personnel on issuing warehouse matters in line with the standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure that all warehousing issuing operations are aligned with the approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regularly checked for compliance
- Inspecting the warehouse, Central Warehouse, Process Yard and HIA Yard on a weekly basis to ensure adherence and compliance with high safety standards.
- Ensure that bin locations are properly maintained both physically and in the system.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping ensuring that each item is properly stored to the required standard
- Ensure all manifests are audited on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Monitor closely and control the issuing of consumables and fast-moving spares to maintain stock accuracy.
- Close out all stocks take action relating to variances caused by issuing processes.
- Daily review/clear of all reservations and ensuring on time issuing of items in SAP.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Minimum Diploma in Purchasing and Supply, CIPS or equivalent qualifications.
- Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain and warehousing.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
