Your Mission:

As the Accounting and Data Information Metallurgist, you’ll be the gatekeeper of gold production data, ensuring accuracy in metallurgical accounting while unlocking insights to boost plant performance. Your work will directly impact operational decisions, compliance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

📊 Metallurgical Accounting

✔ Track ore-to-gold journey—input, recovery, and output—with pinpoint accuracy.

✔ Deliver daily/weekly/monthly production reports (recovery rates, losses, inventory).

✔ Reconcile gold balances across the plant and align with finance & operations.

✔ Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and internal reporting standards.

🔍 Data Analytics & Optimization

✔ Collect, validate, and analyze plant data to identify trends and inefficiencies.

✔ Build real-time dashboards (Power BI/Excel) for KPIs and operational insights.

✔ Support process optimization with material balance calculations and test-work analysis.

✔ Maintain secure metallurgical databases for historical and operational reference.

📑 Compliance & Reporting

✔ Prepare audit-ready documentation for internal/external reviews.

✔ Collaborate with finance to bridge metallurgical and financial data.

✔ Communicate actionable insights to senior management and cross-functional teams.

You’re the Ideal Candidate If You Have:

✅ Education & Credentials:

• Bachelor’s in Metallurgy/Mineral Processing/Chemical Engineering.
• Grade 12 Certificate + Membership with Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).

✅ Experience:

• 3-5 years in metallurgical accounting/data analysis (gold processing preferred).
• Deep knowledge of gold extraction (leaching, cyanidation, flotation, etc.).
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or metallurgical accounting software.

✅ Skills:

• Analytical rigor to transform data into process improvements.
• Detail-oriented mindset for flawless reporting and compliance.
• Collaborative spirit to work with metallurgists, engineers, and finance teams.
