Your Mission:

As a Resource Development Geologist, you'll be the architect of geological truth at Kansanshi Mine. Your models and interpretations will directly drive mine planning, ore control, and business decisions - making accuracy your most valuable commodity.

Key Responsibilities:

🔍 Geological Leadership

✔ Transform raw data (mapping, drilling, geophysics) into actionable geological models

✔ Champion data quality - your validated inputs fuel weekly grade control updates

✔ Solve geological puzzles through wireframe reconciliation and model interrogation

✔ Pioneer improvement studies (sampling optimization, drill spacing, KNA analysis)

⚙️ Operational Excellence

✔ Collaborate across teams to calibrate models with reality

✔ Develop QA/QC systems that stand up to NI 43-101 scrutiny

✔ Integrate new geological insights into medium-term mine planning

✔ Identify and mitigate geological risks before they impact production

✔ Master Datamine, Leapfrog, Snowden Supervisor to build best-in-class models

✔ Maintain the single source of truth in our borehole database

✔ Lead resource reporting that meets global compliance standards

You're the Perfect Fit If You Have:

✅ Credentials That Matter:

• B.Sc. (Hons) Geology + Professional Registration (Pr.Sci.Nat/P.Geo)
• 4-7 years in resource geology (base metals/gold a plus)
• Valid driver's license + medical fitness for mine work

✅ Technical Arsenal:

• Mastery of geological modelling software (Datamine/Leapfrog)
• Fluency in mine geology processes from pit to plan
• Sharp eye for data anomalies and opportunities
